I am really not amused, when Sister Nirmala is going to get the Padma award, recognition by our government for the evangelical activities of Missionaries of Charity (MOC). The cacophony of this announcement had created mental agony, a deep sense of anguish. It’s like awarding the church for enacting there medieval form of justice and killing anyone whom they perceive as threat against their aggressive proselytizing tactics. This announcement may please their political masters from Italy, but this will have a far reaching implication and will not act as a bridge in our society.
It’s an irony that ours is a majority Hindu nation, and none of the Hindu saint is deemed fit for these awards. Swamy Lakshmananand must have been posthumously awarded either the Padma or Bharatratna awards. What qualification that you need for these award? He was selflessly working among the tribal’s in Orissa for more than 30 years. His only disqualification was that, he was a Hindu who doesn’t speak English. He was killed in a Girls Hostel on Janmastmi, in a remote Tribal Hamlet in Orissa, in one of the most brutal, heinous and cowardly act.
It’s a shame that our government is recognising those who are responsible for creating rift, and disharmony in our society. Why it is really difficult to recognise Baba Ram Dev or Sri Sri Ravi Shankar or Late Swamy Lakshmananand because the colour they wear is saffron not white or Green or because they are Hindus.
There are lot of questions which come to my mind,
>Is there a clandestine nexus between Missionaries of Charity and the congress party?
>Why only the people from Missionaries of Charity, ends up bragging the Padma or the Bharatratna awards?
> What if the Missionaries of Charity is funding the congress party?
The suspicion is not just unfounded, No one really knows the kind of work and the impact that Kolkata based Missionaries of Charity has on the general masses across India. The kind of funding that they receive from outside India. The kind of funding that they provide to the congress party. It’s an evil nexus between the missionaries and their political masters in India, to get the political legitimacy for the missionaries. With an annual budget of over Rs 6000.00 Crores, funded from outside India, missionaries can definitely afford it. These awards in all its probability are the manifestation of this evil nexus.
